I dealt with Brian over a number of years when he instructed me to act for Tyco on a number of their UK acquisitions. He was always fully supportive and was a pleasure to deal with. I learnt a lot from him and he has been a major influence on my own legal career. It was a privilege to have met him.

Carol & Family, My heartfelt condolences to all of you. My heart is heavy after hearing about Brian's passing. Words can't describe how I feel about what Brian has done for me. He is and always will be the best boss I have ever worked for. He is an incredible man, mentor, and friend. I can't thank him enough for being there and putting up with me, especially my constant mixing up the words principle and principal. Still do!! It was because of Brian that I now have a honors paralegal degree. I have missed Brian over the last 5 1/2 years and will always miss him.
Rest easy now, Brian, and know you have touched many, many people.

Carol and family, I am shocked and saddened to hear of Brian's death. He was a fine, wise and gentle man: one of a kind. I have fond memories of walking quietly with him beside a pond after lunches thirty years ago discussing the world's problems. My family and I extend our sympathy.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, Brian's family, on his passing. It was my privilege to work with Brian at Tyco, where he was kind enough to humor my "accountant pretending to be a lawyer" moments. I will remember Brian as a patient teacher, a compassionate person and a gentle soul. May he rest in peace, and may God bless all of you at this difficult time.

Carol, Ben, Adam and Marcie: Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt prayers and sympathy. As the fourth of the original four amigos that made up the Tyco Exeter Legal Department in 1992, Brian was a mentor, teacher, friend, and father figure to me and a genuinely great and loving man to all who knew him He loved you all so very much and was so proud of you. I
am so sorry to learn of his passing and want you to know that I am a better person and lawyer for having known him. He taught me more about corporate law, drafting documents, and ethics than anyone in my 21 years of practice. But most of all, he did it with a caring and decent heart. I have tried to emulate Brian throughout my career but I always seem to fall woefully short. It's something, really, what an impact he has had on me, as I was JUST LAST WEEK sharing with a lawyer that works for me two stories about Brian and what he taught me. Although this person never met Brian, he did through me. That is Brian's legacy and while I know his loss is a void that you will never replace, I hope you find comfort in knowing how many he touched. I love you, Brian, and I forever apologize for any typos that may appear in this entry, for no one could proof read like you. May god bless you. Rob Costello

Carol and Family. I know I don't have to tell you how special Brian was, yet I still feel the need. He was one of the most decent people I've ever worked with, and I know I'm not alone in that thought. The Earth lost a giant with Brian's passing. My prayers are with you through this difficult time.
