Dear Barbara-I was so sorry to read today of Charlie's death at such a young age. I met him in 1985 when he was personally responsible for admitting me to the Cambridge Hospital internship program. During that year he was my supervisor and I enjoyed so much getting to know him. He introduced me to Iris Murdoch's novels which are all about love and he said how much he loved you. He was a super teacher and a wonderful person. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Dr. Ducey taught a class in case studies at Harvard in the early 1970's. He was a brilliant, sensitive and humane teacher. With his teaching as inspiration, I pursued a career in adult, adolescent and child psychiatry and resident training. He was the source of and role model for my work. Harvard was fortunate to have his guidance with student counseling. To his family, my sincere condolences.
He was a special person. He will live on in the memory of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
