THOMAS M. O'BRIEN Jr.

OBRIEN, Thomas M., Jr. Of South Yarmouth, formerly of Watertown, died peacefully on June 11, 2014, at age 77 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Tom was born in White Plains, NY, the only child of Thomas and Evelyn OBrien and grew up in Brockton. He is survived by his beloved longtime companion, Bodil Madsen, and many cousins and family members. Tom ran an insurance business for many years before retiring to Cape Cod. He was a proud alumnus of the College of the Holy Cross, Class of 59, and personally mentored hundreds of student-athletes over the years. He was a true and loyal friend, respected by all, who made a very positive and lasting impression on all those he met. Tom enjoyed a full life and loved people more than anything else.
