JESSICA CAMPBELL Obituary

CAMPBELL, Jessica Leigh Age 27, formerly of Pleasant Valley, and currently a resident of Brookline, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday, June 21st, 2014, from injuries suffered when she and her boyfriend, John Jack Lanzillotti, Jr., were struck by a car while walking in the Back Bay area of Boston. Jessica was born on March 4, 1987 to Veronica and Arthur Campbell. She graduated from Arlington High School in 2005. Jessica attended Northeastern University and graduated with Honors with a degree in International Business in 2010. After graduation from Northeastern University, Jessica made Boston her home; and, was employed by Kantar Retail, where she worked as a Senior Analyst. Jessica was a runner, and was going to run her first 10K on June 22nd. She was also very involved in the French Bulldog Rescue Network (FBRN)--even though she had no dog of her own, and was initially concerned that the other volunteers would think she was weird--for the record, they thought she was fantastic. Jessicas was a writer for the FBRN, who also enjoyed hunting for Frenchie paraphernalia that was used for FBRN fundraisers, and was always happy and eager to help with any project that benefitted her beloved French Bulldog rescue. In addition to her parents, Jessica is survived by her brother, US Marine Cpl. Brendan Campbell; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a multitude of friends. Calling hours will be on Friday, June 27th from 12 noon to 4 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm, at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St. (Route 44), in PLEASANT VALLEY. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, June 28th at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY. Donations to the French Bulldog Rescue Network, a cause that was very important to Jessica, can be made by going to http://bit.ly/FBRNJessica Campbell. Dear Artie and Ronnie - our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family over your recent and devastating loss. I pray that you find some comfort in the warmth and support of family and friends, and in the wonderful memories of life with Jessica - some of which I was privileged to share. Our children are our blessings. As we guide them through life, they teach us more than we could ever hope to teach them. No one has any answers, and rarely understanding, of the painful twists and turns of our lives. Know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Ronnie... or Mrs. Campbell, as they called you in Glenham School where I worked also... I am not certain if you will remember me, but I remembered you instantly when I learned of your loss. I just wanted to say... you and the families are in my thoughts and prayers during this unbearably sad time. Honor these two new angels with wonderful memories of them. I will keep on praying for your families. ~ Ms. Shelley Crespo

I am so sorry for your loss. I so enjoyed seeing Jess after many years (since the girls were in highschool, college) at the engagement party last May, shower this spring and at the wedding in May in DC. Such an amazing and remarkable young woman. I was thankful that Meghan has such wonderful friends and delighted in seeing them altogether. It was nice to see Jess so grown up, accomplished, and happy. Your daughter was a good friend to Meghan. She had a wonderful personality, positive disposition and she was a good person. Jess looked absolutely stunning and radiant at the wedding. Gorgeous Girl. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Margie Mayen Muggleston (Meghan's mom)

My daughter Alex worked with Jess at Kantar; and they had become close friends. I have heard so many wonderful things about Jess from Alex - clearly Jess lived her life filled with zest, humor, compassion, and joy, and was a "light" to everyone. Thank you for giving and sharing such a beautiful, loving and wonderful spirit with this world. I send all of you - her family, her partner's family, and friends love and the warmest thoughts. Nothing I say or write will ever diminish the pain of the loss, but simply know there are many people who care deeply. God Bless, Susan Willard-Killen
