Caputo, Colonel Brian R. (Ret. U.S. Army) Of Belmont passed away on October 12, 2014 at the age of 78. He was the husband of Ann (Flaherty) Caputo and the father of Cathleen Livingstone, Ellen Oliver, Kara Raynor, and Kevin Caputo. He was the proud grandfather of Kelly Ann, Will, Stephen, Zachary, Kaelyn, Ashley, Courtney, John, Lauren and Brianna. Brother of Louis of California, Lawrence and his wife Donna of California, John and his wife Sandra of Belmont and Virginia Luippold and her husband Stephen of Hatfield, MA. Also survived by nieces and a nephew. Brian was predeceased by his parents Mario V. and Doris R. (McGunnigle) Caputo. He was a Senior Lecturer at his undergraduate alma mater Northeastern University, Lecturer at Boston University (MBA), and a life-time member of the VFW and the American Legion. He played senior hockey in Quincy (Quincy Bald Eagles) and basketball at Hanscom Air Force Base. Late U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Funeral from the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mount Auburn Street (Rt16) WATERTOWN on Saturday at 8 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Common St. Belmont at 9:00 A.M followed by Interment with Military Honors in Belmont Cemetery. Relatives and friends respectively invited to attend.
