Mort, you were one of the true originals -- trendsetting, pioneering, a real change agent. Your spirit was amazing. Your laugh was one of the very best. You will be missed by many.

Mort and I were at Yale together and I haven't seen him for many years. He was an outstanding guy who was so smart and witty, and a pleasure to be around. I have such great memories of him. My sincere condolences.

I met Mort only once for a brief time this past summer, when he was kind enough to host friends of his son Ben from the diabetes camp he was working at. I've known Ben for many years through Camp Joslin and had heard how great of a guy he was from both Ben and those there who knew him. It didn't take long to recognize why he was so highly spoken of, as I got to see firsthand his charm, humor, generosity, and kind-hearted nature. He had a truly special relationship with his family. I didn't know him very long, but his character is reflected in his son Ben, who like his father is a great man.

A legacy. That is Mort. And my heart, and so many of my friends' hearts, are broken with Mort's passing. And he is the reason for those friendships. We all grew up together, professionally and socially, due in large part to the environment Mort created. For many of us, an ice cream truck in the afternoon at 275 Dan Road was the norm. As was the popcorn machine in the afternoons, and the hamburgers and hot dogs that Mort made for us on an occasional Friday afternoon in the summer.
Mort was an amazing man and had such a profound impact on many of our lives. He was not only a pioneer of software resellers, but of our early careers, taking us in right out of school and teaching us that work can be a fun AND fulfilling. He made many of us who we are today in that he inspired us to be the best we can be. And enjoy every single minute of it!
Work wasn't work at Corporate Software... everyday was like going home for Sunday dinner, surrounded by life-long friends who, like Mort, were family.
May you rest in peace Mort. Thank you for our life lessons. We learned from the best and will think of you always.

Gratitude, sympathy, and love to each of you. How tough these days are. Mort was so helpful to me when I experienced a very serious/traumatic accident while at Lesley. He was a generous, loving, great man. Sr. Carol Ziegler, SND - Chief Mission Officer Notre Dame College

Mort was my hero for having the vision to found Wellspace, a dream of a holistic wellness center for all who worked there, or came there as a client! In following a business model as a corporation rather than a 'cottage industry', Mort made a real contribution to the 'image of self' of integrative medicine care providers that will continue to blossom and grow. Thank you Mort, and to say "RIP" for one of the most active man I ever met, may not be a blessing, rather I say "Keep on moving", Mort, you will never be forgotten.

I knew Mort mostly through his mother (Eli Rosenthal). She raised him all on her own, growing up on Grozier Road in Cambridge. She was the most wonderful woman that I may have ever known and she had a truly significant influence in Mort's life. My deepest condolences to Mort's family. You have a great legacy to take forward with you in your future lives in carrying on the Rosenthal family name. Mort will be proud.

I remember Mort as a funny, entertaining and exciting friend to have during our time in Santa Cruz, Ca together during the summer of 1973. We had recently reconnected when he heard about the wildfires of Colorado and the impact it was having on me. He offered any assistance to me that I might need in any way even though we had not had any direct contact in almost forty years. So, I will also remember his kindness and offer of friendship in a time of need. RIP Mort.

I will remember how much Mort loved his family. How he delighted in all five children, truly enjoying when they found passions. And how much he loved Maryann.
