I have been fortunate enough to have taken a few classes with Professor Foster. I can still remember the Nuclear Engineering lab in the basement at Northeastern and the big lab at MIT that they allow us to use. I will always remember him talking about flying into Quito, Ecuador as being scary. May he rest in peace.

Professor Foster was the best teacher I had during all of my school years. When at Northeastern in the mid to late 1950s, I was fortunate to have him as my professor for several courses. I remember a particularly dull subject that he made exciting and easy to learn. He made every course interesting and meaningful. He must have been very successful when teaching in South America - he certainly was a great teacher at NU! May he rest in peace.

To the family & friends of Professor Foster - I am one of many of his students who remember him well. I was in his Thermodynamics class at Northeastern University in the late 60's. Professor Foster challenged his students like no other. He expected & received their best efforts because of this. Although it was difficult to go through at the time, it made you a much better student and person afterword. We all studied under the best of the best when we took his courses. May he rest in peace!

To All of Professor Foster's family and friends - I remember him well; took several of his classes at Northeastern back in the 60's; particularly remembering Thermodynamics and Direct Energy Conversion. He was a great professor, and was a personal mentor and reference to me when I applied for several jobs in later years. I remember that he loved to fish in the Deerfield River, near my home town.

Hoping to attend the memorial service.

Cindy and Jack: so sorry to hear about your Dad! So many memories from Strathmore Circle especially his cannon on the 4th of July (which had a 50/50 chance of firing-LOL). He was a wonderful guy! Thinking of you all!
