Winifred June Harasym

Winifred (June) Harasym, born June 16th, 1932 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Henry & Winifred Austin. Graduated from St. Brendan H.S. in 1950.She is survived by her loving husband Joe of 59 years, four children, William Daniel, Richard Henry, (Lynn), Kenneth Joseph (Jackie), Debra Owens and six grandchildren; Nicole, LK, Jimmy, Kyle, Nicholas and Matthew. Also, sister-in-law Helen Wachur and husband Michael. Nieces Diane and Linda and Nephews Michael and William.June was very active in Girl Scouting as a troop leader and Cub Scouting as a Den Mother Coach and was a member of the National Exchange Club for many years. She loved playing Bingo every Tuesday night with her many friends from Colony Cove.The Harasym's loved to travel and go on cruises. They visited all 50 states and most of Canada and Europe, One of their great loves was visiting Maine each year. She will be dearly missed by all.Wake will be on Monday, 3:00 to 6:00P.M. at The Allen Moore Funeral Home, 1222-36th Ave. E. in Ellenton. Burial will be on Tuesday Dec. 10th at 9:30 A.M. at the National Cemetery in Sarasota.
