Dean Jarvis Campbell

Dean Jarvis Campbell, 79, of Bradenton, FL, passed away Nov. 25, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marilyn McHale Campbell. Born in March 10, 1935, in Barre, Vermont, he was a son of the late Clarence and Elsie Dean Campbell. COL. Campbell retired from the United States Army after 32 years of service, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. He also retired from the United States Department of Justice after 17 years, completing his service as an executive officer in the Executive Office of the U.S. Attorneys. Col. Campbell was a graduate of Norwich University. Survivors also include children and grandchildren: Robert Scott Campbell, of Baltimore, MD; Lisa Angela Painter (James), of Wirtz, VA; Robert Timothy Edwards, of Bradenton, FL; Amber Marie Edwards, of Bradenton, FL and Samantha Carlson, of Germatown, MD; as well as one great-grandson, Noah Campbell Davison. Services in Vermont will be conducted at a later date. Manasota Funeral Home is assisting the family.
