Donald Carbaugh Obituary

WHITE PINE, Tenn. - Donald Forrest Carbaugh, 82, of White Pine, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (Jan. 22, 2013) at home with family by his side.
Born March 7, 1930, in Punxsutawney, Pa., he was a longtime past resident of Bradford, Pa., where he lived with his wife, Betty Jo Carbaugh, with whom he spend an amazing 58 years.
He worked 42 proud years for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and later the CSX. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He enjoyed spending time with his two beloved Dachshunds, "Corky" and "Dottie."
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Carbaugh; sister, Patricia Carbaugh; son, Daniel F. (Jamie) Carbaugh; daughters, Donna J. Carbaugh-Smith, Deborah L. (Robert) Smith and Ruth A. (Terry) Vaughn; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Forrest and Ruth Carbaugh; and brother, Jack Carbaugh.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday at Holy Trinity Church in Jefferson City. The funeral service will be held at noon Friday at the church. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Daily Bread at 118 S. Cumberland St., Morristown, TN; or Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 475 N. Highway 92, Jefferson City, TN.
The family has attributed the Rev. Joseph Hammond, Dr. James Schindler and Caris Hospice for prompt and kind attention during this difficult time.
