Roy Laster Obituary
He was born June 4, 1947, in Clarksville, Tenn., a son of the late Emmanuel Binkley and Eva Daniels Harris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Jones, and son, Jason Laster.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after 26 years of service and was a member of the American Legion, Calabash and Elks Lodge, Little River, S.C.
Following retirement he was a logistics analyst for the federal government.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Patricia Clark Laster; sons, Robert Laster (Holly), of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joshua Laster of Scranton, Pa.; daughter, Stacey Morgan (Robin), of Avenue, Md.; two sisters, Lynda Williams (Wendell), of Clarksville and Beverly Reising (Tom), of Louisville, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Jason Alexander Morgan, Noah Morgan and Haley Morgan.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, the Lasters' anniversary date, in the Brunswick Funeral Service chapel, by the Rev. Jason L. Benton.
The family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
