Gerald Morano Obituary
Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., on May 11, 1939, to Martha and Thomas Morano, Gerald was the youngest of seven children. He served as a private in the U.S. Army. He married Michele W. "Mickie" Smolenski, who died in 2003, in Poughkeepsie on Jan. 6, 1962.
He is survived by three sons, Gerald R. Morano Jr. of Highland, N.Y., Stephen J. Morano of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Anthony T. Morano of Highland; eight grandchildren; and sister, Lynette Smolenski of California.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Highlands. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a time of visitation with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 55 Main St., Highland. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
