When I first arrived at Nichols as a new high school freshman, Ray was one of the first "old timers" who went out of his way to make me feel welcome. He was a good friend throughout high school and he and I occasionally exchanged "hellos" decades later, even though we haven't seen one another since our graduation in 1971. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family. He was a very good man.

I was Ray´s supervisor in the Sheriffs Department for many years! I got to know him well, and considered him a friend. He was a very good and respected officer! He will be missed. My condolences to his family

Ray, we worked together for a long time. You were always pretty steady. I nicknamed you THE HAMMER, but now I have forgotten how that came about. Rest In Peace, Brother.

I am heartbroken to hear about Ray´s passing. We were very close friends at Nichols years ago. We played hockey together for a long time. But more importantly we were close friends. He and his parents took me to my first Bills game. It started my lifelong love for those Bills. Win or lose. I spent time at his house in Rosehill & he came frequently to our place in Bay Beach. He really was one of the nicest people I´ve ever known. My family moved to California when I was 16 and we largely lost track of each other after that. But I´ve heard about him from time to time from my brother who lives in Buffalo. Please accept my deepest sympathies. He will always remain one of my best friends. Such an incredible person.

Carol and Family- It was with great sadness that I read of Ray´s passing. I always liked Ray as a person. But, what was more outstanding was that he was the same person as a businessman. There was no fake persona. Ray was Ray, with the wry humor, level head and just enough sarcasm in his tone and look to keep you honest. He made sure that I got the "car of my dreams", which remains my favorite car of all time...my `83 Camaro.
I think of him often, especially when I heard his health was failing. I remember the great days and the fun of the early `80s and the two of you were a large part of that great time of life.
May the great memories that you shared as a family always warm your heart and give you comfort. May those memories always be a blessing. For the good and righteous, though they die, never pass away. They remain in our heart as part of their legacy.
May Ray find Godspeed in his transition to eternal life. And may the love he shared live on in each of you and all of us. God Bless Rayband all of you.
