Edwin TILTON Obituary

TILTON - Edwin Odin April 4, 2015, at the age of 100, husband of the late Elizabeth Tilton; survived by son, Samuel (Mimi) of Rochester, NY; daughter, Anne Jalali (Fereydoun) of Fort Valley, GA; grandchildren, Alex and Peter Tilton, Amin (Teresa) and Munib Jalali; great-grandchildren, Matin and Liana; and several nieces and nephews; predeceased by son, Stephen, and sisters, Patricia Daams and Deborah Huleatt. Attended Phillips Andover Academy, Harvard College, and Yale Law School. Served in Army Intelligence 1941-46. Came to Buffalo in 1946 to join the Hodgson Russ Law firm. Longtime member of the Buffalo Tennis and Squash Club, and the Harvard Clubs of NYC and Buffalo. Served as a member and Secretary of the NY State Dormitory Authority 1974-78. The family thanks the wonderful community of Canterbury Woods and his dedicated aides, Iolanda, Mimi, Elisa, Tori, Maryann, and Kelsey. No prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Stephen W. Tilton Bequest Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, 726 Exchange St., Suite 525, Buffalo, NY 14210 or another charitable organization of your choice.
