PATRICIA HEINRICH

PATRICIA (DOWER) HEINRICH BURLINGTON - Patricia (Dower) Heinrich, 95, of Burlington, died peacefully and in the presence of her children on April 18, 2014, at Shelburne Bay Senior Living Community. She was born in Burlington on July 13, 1918, and was the daughter of James P. and B. Loretto Mulqueen Dower. She was a graduate of Mt. St. Mary Academy, attended Trinity College in Burlington, and graduated from the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She was married to Frank J. Heinrich on April 14, 1941. Patricia lived her life with spirit, generosity, strength, curiosity, faith, and a true zest for living. A proud and dignified woman, she was known for her sense of style and graciousness. Her creativity was expressed in many ways, including paintings, hooked rugs and cross stitch. Her love of music, passed down from her mother and shared with her family, led her to become organist at Holy Cross Church in Colchester. She enjoyed traveling on cruises, a glass of wine with family or friends, and Wednesday afternoons with her dear bridge friends. Most of all, she loved being with her family, whether celebrating special occasions or simply sharing a meal and good humor at the family summer camp on Spalding's West Shore. When family was gathered, she was happiest. Pat and Frank spent winters in Jupiter, Fla., for 25 years where she enjoyed playing golf, new friends and volunteering in the Jupiter Hospital Thrift Shop. She has given her family much to admire, much to live up to and much to love. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Heinrich MacPherson (Bruce) of South Burlington, and their children, Molly, Scott (Jody), and Andrew; sons, J. Jeffrey (Suellen) of Guilford, Conn., and their son, John (Anna); Mark J. (Starleen) of Kingwood, Texas, and their sons, Christopher (Stevie - Justin, Jackson and Jett), Matthew (Laura - Skyler, Mattison and Jake), and Kevin (Cathy - Reagan, Avery and Cole); Bill of Kapaa-Kauai, Hawaii, and his children, Theresa (Lili), and Jamie (Melissa - Aiden, Ellie and Ryder); and Thomas E. (Theresa L.) of Colchester, and her daughter, Mary Heinrich Aloi (Nicholas) of Burlington, and their children, William McNeil (Jessica - Maeve), Emily Aloi, Dominic Aloi (Jennifer - Nicholas and Olivia), and Marie Floyd (Brandon - Aiden, Gavin and Ashlynn Cook and Justis Floyd). She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, on Sept. 11, 2004. Deep gratitude is expressed to the caregiving staff at the Meadows and the Haven at Shelburne Bay. We will always be grateful for the compassion and love shown in their care for our mother. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Shelburne at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington.
