Just found out about David (Shogun, as I called him) as I visited old PSA friends in Sacramento. My x husband, Kenny Nulph worked with him. First time I met David was @ a PSA picnic on the Sacramento River, boy did we laugh. The last time I saw him, he was working TSA @ SMF the summer of 2010, I believe it was. So saddened & shocked. Condolences to Leslie & kids.

Dave was a joy to know and work with. He was a true gentleman and always had a positive attitude and a smile. We were the same age and used to joke that we were "war babies", not "babyboomers". I will miss him greatly;he was a valued member of the BTV family. My heart goes out to Leslie and all of his family. Hold on to the memories.

Dave will be remembered by me for many reasons, way to many to list. He gave 100% to everything he did form work, to building shelves and porch extensions, to having fun and to being a great friend. To me he was a loving man who enjoyed life, made the best corn beef and cabbage and really knew how to celebrate St Pat's days. We enjoyed many festivals and trips together and to top it all off he married my life long friend.
Poul's and my love and prayers go to all who love Dave, especially Leslie and Adam

It is hard for me to express in words the sadness I feel. Dave and I were roomies for a short time. He always had a quick smile and laugh, loved football and loved to fish. My son James, would call him Uncle Dave. Go in peace Dave, you were a good friend.

I worked with Dave in OAK in the early 70's A group of us loved Yosemite and spent our time off backpacking and hiking in the Sierra. Dave loved to fish and it was always good to have him around the campfire with us. RIP brother....

Leslie and Adam:
To me, Dave will always be one of the "PSA originals," as I like to think of ourselves, back in Oakland in the early 70's. We had more fun than a bunch of "grown ups" should have been allowed to have. We were all in our early 20's, so how grown up could we have been?
He was always first in to get the coffee maker started so we could all get off to a rousing start. To keep busy in between flights, we had some real knock down, hilariously funny, games of Bid Whist. Hard to believe that was forty years ago.....
My thoughts are with you and Dave this New Years Day.

Go in peace Dave. I will never forget those nights around the TV for Football at Bair Bob's. Your humor was unforgetable.

Leslie, I will be thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. I am sorry to hear that David has been sick. Clearly, from the other entries in this e-memory book, he made as strongly favorable an impression on many people as he did when he worked with you at FairPoint and he will be sorely missed. Please accept my sympathy.
