Robert Earl Klinger
Robert Earl Klinger, 75, of Butler, formerly of Arizona, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit.
He was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Butler, the son of the late Earl David Klinger and the late Mary Marguerite (Beggs) Klinger.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He retired after 35 years as the bookstore manager at the American Graduate School of International Management and was a partner in the accounting firm of Rochford & Associates in Phoenix, Ariz.
While in Phoenix, Bob was an active member for many years in the Lions Club of Arizona. After moving back to Butler, he was a member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church.
Bob enjoyed hunting and cooking, but most of all spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Elaine L. (Ferguson) Klinger; a daughter, Joanna Loree (Shawn) Adams of Germany; three sons, Matthew E. (Jennifer) Klinger of Phoenix, Ariz., Nathan R. (Jennifer) Klinger of Elmhurst, Ill., and Vearle David (Sherry) Klinger of Naper-ville, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Aaron Adams, Heather (Jorge) Tellez, Brent Klinger, Nathan Klinger II, Adam Klinger, Rose Klinger, Wade Klinger, Megan Klinger and Katelyn Klinger; three great-grandchildren, RheaLynn Klinger, Nathan Klinger III and Rogan Tellez; and two sisters, Shirley Wilson of New Castle and Jeanne (Eddie) Herald of Espyville.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Klinger.
KLINGER - Friends of Robert Earl Klinger, who died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, will be received from 7 to 9 p. m. today at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with his son, the Rev. Nathan Klinger of Christ Church of Oakbrook in Oakbrook, Ill., officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park, Butler.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Bob Klinger was a very good friend of mine during our time at West End school. His dad, Earl, would ride us to his house in the side-car of the police motorcycle after school. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with the family during this time of grief. God bless!
