Joseph McDeavitt Obituary
Joseph was born Jan. 22, 1943 in Butler to Mary (Miller) and Raymond McDeavitt.
He was a retired electrician for AK Steel.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Donna Warner of Leesburg, Fla.; children, Gina (Jerry) Reagan and Jillann McDeavitt of Crawfordsville, Ind.; brothers James, Winston Salem, N.C. and Edward of Crawfordsville, Ind.; and grandchildren, Morgan, Alex, Madison, Nic, Daulton, Jake, Matthew and Mitchell.
He enjoyed Hilton Head, S.C., traveling and camping with his family and friends.
All will remember his slow ways and keen sense of humor. The memories he created will remain in our hearts forever.
Joseph, better known as "Pap Pap," inspired his children and grandchildren to always do our best and enjoy life to the fullest.
Blessed to have this man in our lives and proud to call him a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by is son, William Joseph McDeavitt, in 2015; and parents Mary (Miller) and Raymond McDeavitt.
MCDEAVITT - Friends of Joseph Arthur McDeavitt, who died Saturday, April 1, 2017, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home.
Entombment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Unionville Volunteer Fire Company, 102 Mahood Rd., Butler, PA 16001 or to the charity of one's choice in his honor.
