Murton CHARLTON Obituary
1919 - 2014
Murt Charlton passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on March 31, 2014 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his wife Florence in 2006; his brothers: Norm and Boyd and his sister Mildred. He is survived by his brother Morris and children: Myrna, Earl (Eleanor), Alan (Dale), and Ken. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren: Michael, David, Jesse, Ben, Richard and Shannon and four great-grandchildren. Murt was born to Anthony and Sarah Charlton in Acme, Alberta. He proudly served overseas with the Calgary Highlanders during WW II. Upon his return he served his apprenticeship in carpentry and worked for many years in the construction industry. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home on Friday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans' Food Bank at www.calgarypoppyfund.com or Rosedale Hospice at www.hospicecalgary.com.
