May 9, 2013 – Calgary, Alberta
Calvyn M. Loree passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, May 9, 2013
at the age of 82 years. Calvyn will forever
live in the hearts of his lovely wife Rosemarie; four daughters, Sandra, Sherry, Sharon and Valerie; eight grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren, with one in the making. He
also leaves behind his brother Dwight Loree and his sister Jane Karbinski, as well as
many nieces and nephews. Calvyn was predeceased by his parents Isabelle and Max Loree; his brothers Greg, Joe and James. The family would also like to make a special mention to a team of doctors, namely Dr. Peter Dunham, his doctor for thirty years, and Dr. Anne Gillis and her team from the Electrophysiology Department. Special mention goes to Dr. Isreal Belenkie, Head of the Cardiac Function Clinic FMC (Foothills Medical Centre) and to his "Angel" nurse Tracy French. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 Telephone: (403) 781-1978, www.heartandstroke.ca. In living memory of Calvyn Loree, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Whenever I think of Cal a smile will come to my lips and a blessing to my heart. He was like a father figure to me with all of those years at Fracmaster. I will always remember the last lunch I had with him and the boys at Wellingtons. My deepest sympathies to you Rosemarie and your family.

What a blessing Cal was to all of us who knew him & even those he didn't. Cal was so honest, ethical, kind & genuine, he lit up a room with his twinkling eyes and his wonderful smile. Cal was so special for so many many reasons but especially for his heart, he gave so much & expected nothing in return, he was so special to our family & will never be forgotten. With all our love, we will always miss you Cal

We are deeply saddened to hear of Cal's final journey into heaven,. But at the same time so honored and glad that we got to know and spend some of our happiest moments with and around him with the Halvorson family for many years. God called on a very special Angel to join him in the most glorious place. Such a fine man ,with integrity in everything he did! Great guy always open & pleasant. When I started out in the biz he was always the guy you could turn to for help, advise and answering my dumb questions. Missed by all who knew him.

Rosemary our prayers and thoughts are with you. I had the greatest respest for Cal as I looked up to him as a father figure. I still remember the last time we had lunch in Red Deer together. He will be deeply missed.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Cal, I looked up to him as a mentor and considered him a dear friend. He will be missed greatly by his family and a large contingent of the American Quarter Horse family, myself included.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Cal's passing. I will always remember Cal's smile. He was the stabilizing influence & the man that made many a difficult business decision, over his long & successful career. He was truly a great mentor and a true leader. I truly respected him. He had the ability to get his team to always, put one hundred percent effort in ever endeavour, and he always gave praise for a job well done.
