STOBER, Kenneth Michael
May 22, 1958 – Calgary, AB
March 22, 2014 – Aldersyde, AB
Kenneth Stober of Aldersyde, AB, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the age of 55 years. Ken grew up in Calgary and worked for Telus until his retirement. During this time, he purchased an acreage and began cultivating his love of working on the property and developed a tree farming business. He loved working with his tractor and rototiller, keeping his property immaculately groomed. Ken loved the time he shared with his beloved dogs Lady, Bud and Bear. Weekends were generally celebrated with his cocktail hours. Ken was a caring and giving man to whom his family could always count on. It is with great sadness that we mourn his loss and he will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched. Ken is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Thomas Stolzenberg, their children Michael and Caitlynn, all of Calgary, nephew Steven Kramar of Salmo, BC, his auntie Irene Lau of Calgary, Ken's cousins Chris Bost (Michael) of Calgary, Eddie Lau (Shannon) of Surrey, BC and Eric Lau (Leanne) of Saskatoon, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Mary Stober and his older sister Barbara Kramar. A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Kenneth Stober, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Will always remember the many great "capers" we had on the road in Canmore.
You left way too soon Duke!

Hey "Duke", I remember when Kelly and I helped you hand dig and plant all those first tree's on the property. I think we did 200 spruce and 200 poplar in a weekend, many good memories of life on the road as well...RIP.

Teresa, I am so sorry for your loss. Although I only saw your brother on occasion when we were younger, I do recall that he was very soft spoken and had a gentle soul. He will always live in your heart. Remember all the joyous memories you have of him. You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers. Debra Zarowny (nee Hannin)

I worked with Ken at TELUS for a number of years. He was very quiet and patient and always ready to help. I talked to Ken a couple of months ago and he talked about his tree farm. He was really passionate about that. He was a great guy and everyone is going to miss him.

Sad to see a friend and Colleague pass much too soon. Ken was always had a grin on his face and a story or two to tell over a few cocktails. Lots of laughs and chuckles. See you at the "Hilton" in Vulcan at trails end. God Bless!
