Our deepest sympathies on your loss. I always enjoyed seeing Henrietta. Her joy in life was obvious and her smile lit up the room. I know she will be missed dearly by the many people whose lives she touched.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Henrietta's passing. On evenings when she would appear at the Scrabble Club, her soft, precise manner infused the room with warmth. Our conversations about painting and mountains were inspirational from the gleam in her eyes. During play I would look up from my game and see her sharing a quiet laugh about some crazy word. Our club is a little more empty without her. My deepest condolences to her myriad family and friends.

I rember the good times we had swimming as long ago as 1977 in the Inglewood Pool.
May God bless you and family at this time of sorrow.

So sorry to learn of Henrietta's passing. Ned and I were Calgary Master's swimmers in the early 1980's. I remember Henrietta fondly as a kind and joyful person. May you be comforted by your memories.

Dear Daughters of my long time friend Henrietta; RoseAnne, Eva Marie and Stephanie,
I was privileged to know and swim with your Mom in the 80's - after I arrived in Calgary from Ontario - and on through the 90's. After she started swimming on her own in her neighbourhood pool, we still found each other every once in a fortunate while. I was honoured she attended my 60th celebration, and have photos of the occasion. My role model as I drift into advancing maturity myself.
I remember you all and share your sorrow in the passing of a remarkable and loving lady, your mother.

Henrietta was always a joy to be with on set.

Henrietta was a welcome friend with the 55+ seniors as an active member. she did a lot of swimming with them at their Games either provincial or National. I have been her coach during those times and she made our members feel proud and being recognized by winning the Cup of the Governor General of Alberta. She could look at a life well lived.

I am so glad I happened to see the obituary of your Mom in the Globe. What a nice summary of a wonderful life lived.
Henrietta's name kept surfacing from time to time. It always brought happiness and respect through the stories.
Way her stories you will be sharing over the next few days bring the same.

So sorry to hear about Henrietta. I swam with Henrietta with Calgary Masters in the 90's. She was a true inspiration. I was always amazed that she would race in the 200 meter Butterfly. One time she joked that it was the only way she was guaranteed to win a medal because not many women in her age group would have the strength to compete in that category. She had a great smile and an attitude to match.
