Paul ROBERTS Obituary

January 2, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta
Paul John Roberts, beloved husband of Jacqueline Dorothy Roberts (nee Christiani) of Calgary, AB, passed away on January 2, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Paul was a lifelong soccer player and avid golfer. After his retirement from Capitol Pipe, he spent a large part of his time on the links. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandsons. Besides his loving wife Jackie, Paul is survived by his two children, his son Sean and his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Bryan along with their children – his three grandsons, Brady, Micah and Lucas. Paul is also survived by his sister Dorothy and his two nephews and their spouses; Todd and Marcella, and Craig and Karen. He is also survived by his dog Sammy. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 200, 119 – 14th Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 Telephone: (403) 264-5549, www.heartandstroke.ca. In living memory of Paul Roberts, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

I am sorry to find that Paul has died. I am trying to get ahold of his sister Dorothy. My name is Pat Brown (Woldnik) we went skiing together at Lake Louise, I was on crutches the whole time Paul and Tim helped carry me to the bus to get down the hill to your car in Banff. I am an old friend of Dorothy and her family, sorry to read about Ellen. I have great memories of Paul coaching us back in the day at Callies Soccer. Recently I've spoken to many of my old teammates, and to a man we all agree on how we loved playing for him. We will miss Paul very much. RIP, and our condolences to his family.

It was a sad day to hear of Paul passing away.
May your good memories soothe your broken hearts. Sadly, we're unable to attend Paul's funeral as we're caring for our granddaughter in Texas. Jackie, wish I was there to hug you.
