I am so sorry to hear of Colin's passing. We were away at the time and could not express our sympathies at the memorial service. It is a shock and unfair and as a parent of a friend it hits home very deeply to all of us. All we can do is offer loving hands to you and remember his gifts as everyone has expressed so vividly. We all remember Colin for many things...myself as a little boy in Preschool and Emily at Calgary Academy. As Emily said.."He gave us all a gift. He rode his life to its fullest and when faced with challenges he always came back with a smile on his face. I will always remember him for this".
With much love and heartfelt sorrow

I know it has been a long time. After seeing your sad news in the paper I had to send a note. Words cannot express how great your loss must be to lose a child. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is anything we can do, please call.

To the Rudolph Family,
Even though we have not met, we share the same pain, as our son was killed in an MVA on July 28th, 2006 at the age of 24yrs. I wish I could tell you things will get better but I think a better way to put it is that"you will learn to live" without your son and brother and eventually the fog begins to lift. Hopefully you will seek out others that share the same type of loss in order to help you cope with your extreme grief! May the cherished memories you hold dear to your heart eventually give you peace!

2006/2007 was my first season with C.O.P. freeskiers. Colin was not only fun to be around but also taught me lots of tricks and lines. I had a great day with him in the dive. I'll miss him.

To The Rudolph Family
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Colin was a wonderful young man. He brightened our classroom with his wit and personality every day. He was talented and ambitious, never taking the easy road. He was a joy to work with, and will be greatly missed by all of us at Calgary Academy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, at this time.

To the Rudolph Family,
Colin would have been so proud of your strength and compassion to all those at his funeral. I'm sure he was there in spirit with his classmates, siblings, and friends seeing everyone together one more time. Obsiously he was well loved and touched many lives - as he touched ours and so have you.

Colleen, Walter and Jason,

I have just learned of Colin's tragic passing, while here on Vancouver Island. My heart goes out to you and all of Colin's friends as well. Colin's passing is truly a loss to us all.

Colin's ever present energy and passion for life has impacted many in the most positive of ways. I will always think of Colin as a student and person who loved living, learning and life itself. He will always stand out in my mind as a special and well-loved member of the Banded Peak School Community.

I am certain that when I look to to night sky there will be a new star that shines brightly. It has been an honor and privilege to have known and learned from Colin.

Though we scatter around the countryside, the country and the world, childhood memories – our own and those we relive through our children - connect us all.

Colin’s adventurous spirit and joie de vivre has left an indelible mark in the hearts of many. I challenge all who knew him to honour him by trying something they never thought themselves capable of: To reach out and embrace life...to face your fear...and to never give up!

Our most heartfelt sympathy goes out to Walter, Colleen and Jason for the unimaginable anguish this loss must bring. And to the community and friends who were touched by Colin’s passage through these parts… and these hearts…

We are all deeply saddened with the news of this sudden loss. We have many fond memories of Colin, as Catlin and Colin became good friends at Calgary Academy and spent much time together. Although we moved to Madden a couple of years ago, the boys stayed in touch and visited back and forth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time.
