I knew Leland for 62 years and considered him one of my very best friends. He was never too busy to listen to me and help solve my problems. I never ever thought I would see his obituary. His death has left a big hole in my life and I will miss him terribly. I know he was a child of God and that he is with Him right now, but I will still miss him.

Dear Cope Family,

I first met Leland in 1954. A very nice person, we always enjoyed his company and his sense of humor. I am sorry for your loss, but he is in such a good place now.

I was Leland's favorite nephew. I would call him up and tell him his favorite nephew would like to discuss something. He would reply, what do you want to talk about TOM! He had the wit and the smarts, but most of all the good heart. I will miss him! Nick Banks

Leland, you were a good neighbor. I remember the time I backed up into our grill and you heard the noise, ran over and put it together for me all before my hubby returned home. You would always help a neighbor. God bless you friend.
