Patricia Snyder Obituary

Patricia D. "Missy" Snyder, 53, of Kittredge passed away on April 15, 2015, following a brief illness.
She was a 1980 graduate of Evergreen High School. Pat retired from the state of Colorado after 31 years, where she held many positions, including state trooper, dispatcher and human resources analyst. While in HR, her duties were to administer and schedule background, physical agility and psychological tests for many of the Colorado state troopers on the road today.
Upon her retirement from the state, she worked in two local animal clinics and as a paralegal at the Law Office of Richard A Levine.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Snyder of Kittredge; sister Connie Snyder of Kittredge; brother Clark (Cecilia) Snyder of Pflugerville, Texas; niece Carissa Cruz of Pflugerville; nephew Brian (Rosie) Bradley of Round Rock, Texas; as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 1 at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 11500 W. 20th Ave. in Lakewood.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to either the Lyle Wohlers Scholarship, http://cspff.net/scholarships/lyle-f-wohlers-scholarship-fund/, or to Kitten Associates For Freya, kittenassociates.org.

I am still in shock and I will miss you terribly. Your heart of gold and your gift of giving is something that I will always keep close to my heart. Thank you for being my friend when we shared many laughs and across the miles later on. I know you are listening when I am chatting with you. RIP my friend, Love Always, Melody

Pat taught me so much more than the job I was to take over after her retirement. There were so many laughs shared during all hours in the office, and outside during lunch breaks. She never stopped believing in helping others, human or animal. We shared so many laughs and moments of joy. Her light will continue through the lives of all the people she has touched. Matt and Connie, I am so sorry for your loss.
With all my happy memories and love.

Pat was a wonderful person. I was lucky enough to work closely with Pat for several years when I was a trooper. She gave me great advice, told me terrifically funny stories, and made me laugh like no other. She was a perfectionist in all things and took great pride in her work. She was one of the few people who supported and encouraged me when I decided to leave the state patrol for new things. I will never forget my dear, wonderful friend. Love to you, Pat. From D.B.
