God rest your soul, Steve and comfort your wife and relatives. Thank you for the many wonderful haircuts and for being so kind to my mum when she was getting her hair done by you. I moved out of the state and lost touch but someone e-mailed me and let me know.

Judy, I just learned today about Steve's passing. I went to get my hair cut and Felecia told me. It was such a shock because I was thinking of him lately since he was on my list for June birthdays. We always had such fun when I went for my monthly haircuts and I know the last year and a half must have been very difficult for you. I've know Steve sincce he was about 20 and he will be missed. He was such a wonderful human being. All our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Klaus and Dalitta Rothstein

Steve started cutting my hair probably 26 years ago when I was around 10 years old. He also cut my mother, aunts, cousins and my grandmother's hair. When my grandmother couldn't leave the house any longer due to her health, Steve would come to her to give her a cut and always put a smile on her face. He was a wonderful man and he will be missed.

I am sorry for your loss. Steve considered his clients as friends and knew all about our families. I met him for the first time in 1974 when he first cut my hair, and I never went to another stylist until his illness kept him from working. Even after he became ill, he called me at home to tell me what hair color brand and number he used on my hair and suggested that I have a new stylist contact him for instructions how to cut my hair. I considered him a friend, He was never at a loss for words...

Steve became my hairdresser right after his Dad died. He probably cut my hair for a good 12 Years before I moved to Florida. I had no idea that he was ill. We had such fun talking about flowers and plants and Christmas houses on a monthly basis. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed. ( Deb McKemey, Jacksonville, FL)

I haven't been to Steve for haircut since we moved away from the Greenbelt area, over 10 years ago, but he made a big impression on me.... I just loved sitting in his chair and listening to him talk.....he was soooo entertaining AND did wonderful things with my hair.....so sorry to hear of his death.

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's death. I met him a long time ago, when he started Buck Lodge Jr. High in Adelphi. He was a good friend. I never knew him to be mean or rude to anyone. He always had that big smile on his face. 38 years of marriage is a tribute to you both. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers in the days to come. Melody Titus Arrington (Laurel, Md)
