Ann Dorwart Obituary

Ann Edwards Dorwart, 88, of Finksburg, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Copper Ridge in Sykesville.
Born Sept. 2, 1923, in London, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Edith Kyker Edwards. She was the wife of John Burman Dorwart, her husband of 52 years, who died in 2009.
She had worked as a secretary, retiring from Black & Decker in Hampstead. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking.
Surviving are daughters and son-in-law Ann and David Barcroft, of Hampstead, and Ella Corson, of Sweden; a son, Robert Corson, of Virginia; a grandson, Justin Barcroft, of Shrewsbury, Pa.; a granddaughter, Amy Barcroft-Peregoy, of Gettysburg, Pa.; and great-granddaughter, Johnna Peregoy, of Gettysburg.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.
The funeral service will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
