Lawrence Steinfeldt Obituary

79, of Conway, S.C. Lawrence Robert "Bob" Steinfeldt, 79, of Conway, S.C., died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Conway Medical Center following a brief illness. Born Nov. 18, 1930, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Edward and Charlotte Engle Laing Steinfeldt. He was the husband of Mildred Lenora Steinfeldt and the late Myrtle Viola Steinfeldt. He was a Navy veteran. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons and daughters-in-law Howard Wesley and Cathy Steinfeldt, of Pennsylvania, David Brian and Suzanne Steinfeldt, Robert Thomas Steinfeldt, and Lawrence Edward Steinfeldt, all of Maryland; daughter Gail Lynn Steinfeldt and fiance Edward Calwell, of Westminster; stepdaughters Terry Blaney and husband Jerry, Cheryl Culotta and husband Vince and Robin Pickett and husband Tommy, all of Sykesville; sister and brother-in-law Ann and Vernon Beck, of Florida; brother Joseph Cangelosi and partner Larry, of Maryland; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Weber officiating. Interment will be in Old Oakland Cemetery in Sykesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 825 Hammonds Ferry Road, Linthicum, MD 21090 or at [email protected]. We were so sorry to hear of Bob's death and will remember the good times we had bowling with him in the Howard Park Seniors League. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
