Every time I see a post from your amazing family, I look to the sky and smile. . . . "there ya go Sid, your legacy lives on!" You taught them so well. You have three amazing sons, who are amazing fathers/husbands. . . and "good ole Brian" is now a GRANDfather!!! I see the progress Matt makes on his projects and, again, think of you!! I know you are so very proud!! Thank you for sharing your family (and your beautiful wife) with me! Thank you for teaching me so much about life and how to live it ; how to be thankful for blessings and how to "discover" God. . . you and Kim were the folks that started that journey for me. I miss you Sid, as do so many others! Till we meet again. . . .xoxoxo

I worked with Sidney off and on for many years at Northrop. The finest qualities, always humble and never raised himself above anyone. I won't forget you and will always remember your open arms to anyone.

Sid was always a friendly face at Northrop and was always willing to help anyone he could. He had a very positive spirit and will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.

Kim and family, I can hardly express my regret and my respect at once for Sid, who was my "friend, who loveth at ALL times," in thick and thin, in whatever emotional state I was in. He seemed to understand even when it was practically "impossible to understand." There were a few times (even now) when I saw his eyes, Sid's...that I felt compassion. He was "there," often the one, who, like a shepherd, was searching for me. I will always remember Sid's spirit, especially his strength. He was my "brother born for adversity."
We, my family and I, will carry his bones (the memory of Sid), wherever we go. It is because of Sid, whom their father once knew, before they were born, before I even knew my wife, who preserved for us a livelihood by pulling me up out of the miry clay, and all of my inheritance.
I will always humbly bow my knee to God, thanking Him for the mercy of sending us Sid, a true man of God.
Sid's spirit will always be remembered. He lives in us and among us as we remember him, here and now. Always.
My name is "Sid's friend," and I am a living testimony of God's grace and mercy, for the sake of knowing God's kindness through many of Sid's benevolent acts of kindness, in Christ.

I had the pleasure of working for Sid the last year of my employment at Northrop Grumman. He made me feel like I was family, not just another employee. He was not just a Boss but also a friend to me. He was admired as someone who really cared about not only his family but also the people he worked with. I will miss him Greatly.

Our hearts go out to the entire Diehl family. Sid was a wonderful, loving, caring, Godly man who would offer to help anyone in need or give a caring hand of support. He will be missed. He had such talents, one of which was his voice that captivated you as he sung. May his memory be eternal. Love to all.

God had blessed Sid with such talents, and he used them to help others - his construction abilities with building on the church mission trips and locally, his singing voice that blessed all of us who heard it, and the good Christian example he set for everyone around him. He will be missed by so many people, but he will be missed the most by his family - my heart aches for all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be for the months ahead.

I got to know Sid through his performances at Westminster Baptist Church. My father thought so much of Sid and his devotion to God and his church family. He asked for Sid and Lynn to sing at his own memorial service and they agreed. It was beautiful and my family will hold that precious memory forever. Our prayers are with the Diehl family and all of us who were touched by him. The Robert K. Morrison Family
