Harold Sivert Obituary

Harold L. Sivert, 90, of Sykesville Harold Leon Sivert, 90, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at home. Born June 1, 1920, in Bridgeport, Ohio, he was the son of the late Daniel Boone Sivert and Bertha Lee Dukes Sivert. He was the husband of Therasa C. Kantzes Sivert, his wife of 62 years, who died in 2008. He was an airplane and automotive mechanic. He was World War II veteran of the Air Force. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are children Paul M. Sivert, of Annapolis, David J. Sivert, of Sykesville, and Kathleen M. Herr, of Reisterstown; and grandchildren James D. and Julie B. Sivert, Emily K. Johannes, and Kathren A. and Henry C. Herr. He was predeceased by a daughter, Christine L. Sivert. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Monsignor Lloyd Aiken officiating. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Reisterstown.
