Darcel Burchett Harmon

Darcel Burchett Harmon, age 65, of Eldersburg, passed away, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her home. Born November 22, 1949 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Beverly "Bette" Snyder Burchett and the late Major Carlton "Carl" Burchett. She was a school teacher for the Baltimore County School System for 30 years where she taught first with Old Court Middle School and later retired from Deer Park Middle School. She loved animals especially her dog Taffy. She loved to read her murder mysteries, was an avid baker, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Surviving in addition to her mother is her son Josh Harmon and wife Kate of New Market; her grandchildren Reiley Koontz-Harmon and Blythe Tavenner; her sister Carla Gray; her niece Jennifer Auchey; her nephew Joe Gray; and her great nieces Antoinette and Cassandra Auchey. She was predeceased by her beloved baby brother Scott Burchett.
