Joyce Rene Packer May 3, 1957 October 24, 2015 Joyce Rene Packer, 58, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015, in Danville. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, and GaGa. Joyce was born, May 3, 1957, in Philipsburg, the daughter of Jack and Connie Bailey Jones. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Glenn Packer, of Mill Hall. Also surviving Joyce are her two children, Janelle Packer, of Alpena, Mich. and Justin Packer, of State College; her three grandchildren, Adelynn Joy Mott, Lillian Joyce Packer and Lincoln Marshall Packer; and her three brothers, John "Mick" Jones, Jr., Joseph Jones, and Jason David Jones. Joyce was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. In 2003, she retired as a first grade teacher for the State College Area School District. Above all, she loved her family, and spent her retirement enjoying Penn State sports with her husband, talking politics and reality TV with her daughter, and guiding her son through life's moments, but most of all, she loved spoiling her three grandchildren. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745.
