Dana Lynn Landis Dana Lynn Landis died peacefully at her home in Wexford, surrounded by her family on January 17, 2016. Dana was born in in Altoona, to C. Wallace and Shirley Stump. Dana and her husband Dave have been together for 48 years, and married for 38. A 1970 graduate of Altoona High School, Dana received her bachelor's degree in Art History from the Pennsylvania State University. Dana's career spanned the U.S. EPA, PA Unemployment office, craftsman for a custom cabinetry shop, and sales associate at the Home Depot. A life-long maker, Dana improved every space she entered, from our homes filled with her handmade decorations and hand-painted furniture, to our lives, which were graced by her creativity and spirit. A 17-year cancer survivor, Dana is survived by her husband, Dave; daughters, Sara and Emily; siblings, Curtis Stump and Linda Mangan; and her mother, Shirley Stump. Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016, followed by a celebration of life service at 4:00 p.m. at George A. Thoma Funeral Home, Inc., 10418 Perry Hwy., Wexford. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Friends.

Dear friends, I was so sorry to hear of Dana's passing.
We played everyday together, we lived across the street from each other, at our childhood homes in Juniata(Altoona),Pa
I'm so happy she had a full and happy life.
She had the most beautiful blue eyes, and always smiling.
As a RN I understand how it is for patients and families to deal with cancer for so long.
My family, Marjorie Brenner, Chuck Brenner, Colleen Brenner Ritter, and myself and my husband , wish you all peace in our hearts,for all of you. She will be forever in my heart , as a angel, looking down on all of us

We'd see each other at school reunions and reconnect. We grew up in Juniata at the same church with our families and great and enduring faith in God.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dana's passing. We started at the Unemployment Office on the same day and remained friends for years.

Dana could do anything! I was continually amazed at her talent and creativity. Whether it was cooking, sewing, crafting, refinishing furniture or whatever, she had a knack for envisioning a finished product and seeing it through to its perfected completion. I could see it and appreciate it in the handmade gifts she gave me over the years.

I wish your family peace and healing during this very difficult time.
