Kathy will be missed. I knew her through our church and she definitely made a difference by sharing her faith with those around her. She sponsored my wife in RCIA. God bless her.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Kathleen was such an important part of St. Francis Hospital.

Dear Carol, Tom, Julie and Tim, My heart sank when I learned of Kathy's death. I always enjoyed being with the Bryson family. I am grateful for the times I got to be with Kathy. Something that has stayed with me is when Sister Maria, OLM talked to me about Kathy. Sister Maria visited ICU often and observed Kathy with her patients. Sister Maria talked about how wonderful Kathy was with patients and Sister Maria was very grateful to God for Kathy being "ours" at St. Francis. Carol and Tom, No one should ever have to bury their child. I cannot imagine the pain you are going through. You have been wonderful and faithful parents. I know Kathy must have been comforted as you walked with her on her journey home. May you be comforted knowing how many lives Kathy not only touched but gave them life. She will never be forgotten. God bless you and your family in this painful time. My love and prayers, Nancy Purdue

To Kathy's family and friends: She was among the RNs who took care of my mother months before she finally died. I highly appreciated her efforts and especially when she also backed me up after my siblings had doubted my decisions in our mother's medical care. Situations as such can not be simply forgotten and can only be treasured. She was amazing. Kathleen, you will not be forgotten. You make your family proud. May you rest in peace.

Kathleen was my preceptor when I started at St Francis in 1987. She drove me to my wedding and calmed me down as I started panicking as we drove up to the battery, she took every picture I have of my wedding. She was smart, funny, beautiful and strong. Even though I moved away in 1991, I am so blessed we reconnected. My heart is broken, especially for her family and her work family. You all will be in my prayers Sun and Monday as you do one of the hardest things you will have to do, say goodbye to sweet Kathleen.

I was Kathy's preceptor the summer of 1981 when she was home and working as a nurse extern in the ICU. I absolutely adored her and knew she would be an excellent nurse. So happy she returned to St.Francis and worked with me when I was head nurse in ICU. She was truly exceptional with her patients, and I have such fond memories of working with her. My heart aches for you. So sorry for your loss. Melanie Cason

To Kathleen's Family: I am sorry about Kathleen's early passing. I worked with Kathleen in ICU and she was the Nurse Supreme. I could always count on her to help me in difficult situations. She was THE role model for nurses.
