Mr. Attaya presented my family with the American Flag just a few days earlier at the funeral on Yonges Island of my beloved father. Because it was so hard to let my father go we had a friend of mine photograph the Military Ceremony at the graveyard presented by the James Island Honor Guard. It was an extraordinarily touching ceremony due the love and respect we felt from the presence of Mr. Attaya. I have several pictures taken of him during his last presentation. I will try to send them to your family. Please know that we appreciate all of the attention he gave to our family.

Dear Mrs. Attaya and Family: Please accept our condolences on the passing of your beloved husband and father.

We have never met; however, we were extremely moved after reading his obituary and his life's accomplishments - he was a true American.
.We need more men and women such as your husband. How proud you must be of his patriotism.

My husband enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. at the age of 17. He was in the Marine Corps for only three years, but he was so proud of serving his country. After I met him in the 1980's I said to him "oh, you were a Marine". He replied "once a Marine always a Marine". I have never forgotten that statement.

May God bless you and your family for having such a wonderful true American in your family.

Respectfully yours,

Jeanne & Edward Campbell
