BLOOMINGTON, IN -- Ruth Moore Holliman, 96, died December 7, 2011. She was born August 4, 1915 in Union County, North Carolina.
She is preceded in Death by her husband, William Shelton Holliman, of Bat Cave, NC; an infant daughter; parents, Mary Oda Brewer Moore and Sandy Silvester Moore, of Marshville, NC; brothersb Herman Lee Moore, and his wife, Helen, of Concord, NC, Robert Glenn Moore, of Charlotte, NC and his wife, Ruby; niece, Betty Raynette Moore, of Arlington, VA; nephew, Robert Nelson Moore, of Concord, NC.
She is survived by her niece, Glenda Moore Bedwell, and her husband, Gary, of Bloomington, IN (formerly from Charlotte, NC); nephews in South Carolina and Virginia; and reat-nephew and great-nieces in Concord, NC.
Ruth grew up in Marshville, NC, married, and moved to Bat Cave, NC. She was a beautician for many years in Hendersonville, NC. She loved the serenity of the mountains. Many hours were spent being a gifted crafter and trying new recipes, all of which were shared by family and friends. Ruth loved and was loved by her family. Her last 16 years were spent with Glenda and Gary. She will be missed and her laughter long remembered.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday December 13, 2011 at 1 p.m. from the Marshville City Cemetery in Marshville, NC.
In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed by your choice. If you like, Ruth and Glenda had coffee and two cookies every day at 4:00 p.m. Have a cup, reminisce, and share a laugh.
