Robin Rogers Obituary
DALLAS -- Mrs. Robin Holben Rogers, age 55, of 1134 Hardin Road in Dallas, died on Friday, December 17, 2010.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Venture (formerly Hardin Baptist Church), 548 Hardin Road in Dallas, with Pastor Austin Rammell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Venture (formerly Hardin Baptist Church).
Robin Rogers was born June 17th, 1955 in Richmond, VA to the late Abner Holben and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Towler. She was an internationally renowned musician and award winning Blues Artist whose fans loved her for her ceaseless passion and her power to inspire.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Eugene Rogers of the home; five brothers, James Holben of South Carolina, John Brady Crabtree of Ohio, Douglas Earl Burton and Carl Andrew Auman, both of Virginia and John McCray Auman of Dallas.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 107 North Cedar St., Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to the Blues Foundation, www.blues.org. Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Rogers family.

My deepest condolances to Tony and all of Robin's loved ones. Robin touched my life in such a very special way. Not only my life, but my entire family's. I am the youngest daughter of Viola Gregg Liuzzo the person that Robin wrote the song "Color Blind Angel" about. Never have I been so touched as I was by this song. I felt such a closeness to Robin even though I never had the honor to meet her in person. We did speak on the phone, and hoped to meet each other one day. We will still meet.....someday. Thank you Robin from the bottom of my heart. I know you and mom are sharing good times together now, and that brings some comfort. No more pain for either of you. I love you Robin,

I first saw Robin perform at The Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte and was hooked ever since. I am so very saddened to hear of her illness and of her passing. To Tony and the family...may your grief soon be replaced by peace. God Bless you all!

We were blown away the first time we heard Robin sing. Over the years, we came to see her and Tony perform many many times. We will never forget her awesome voice and beautiful spirit! She is no doubt singing with a choir of angels now. Tony, our hearts go out to you; you will remain in our thoughts and prayers. She was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.

I didn't know Robin that well but crossed paths with her a few times over the years- but I feel blessed to have known just a little of her. She was a caring and loving person and she will be missed by her fans and friends. Rest in Peace Robin.

I remember the first time I heard her sing, and she touched my spirit. And the first time I met her, my life changed.
