Chuck and Jean were world travelers, and visited every continent and most individual countries at least once over the years. Charles is survived by his wife Jean of Charlotte, NC; his two sons James C. Padgitt (Joanne) of Buffalo Grove, IL, Steven J. Padgitt ( Stacey) of Irving, TX, and daughter Janice C. So sad to hear of Chuck's passing. I was Chuck's HONOR FLIGHT guardian 2 years ago. My own father was on that same flight, but my older brother served as his guardian. I was more than happy to serve as Chuck's buddy that day, as he had no one available. We had a great few weeks before the flight getting to know one another, a great trip that June 1st day to Washington DC, and tried to stay in touch afterwards. My own father (90) passed in January, he an infantryman/mortar man in WW II. He and Chuck bonded quickly, and spoke a few times after returning. I've thought of him often these past few years, more so since my dad's passing, wondering how he and Jean (she's a hoot!!!!) were fairing. Such good people, both of them. Anyway, Blessings to your family, your dad made many friends in life and leaves a tremendous legacy for his children, grand-children, and great grand-children to aspire to live up to.
