William McLester Obituary
Ray is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Cindy Sorrells and husband, Stephen, and Amy Sloop and husband, Mike; stepdaughter, Cindy Kekipi; grandchildren, Michael and wife, Taylor, Jennifer, Megan and husband, Nick, Daniel and Tiffany.
Ray retired from ADT Security after 35 years and served as the President of the NC Alarms Services Board.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 Wednesday evening, March 8, 2017, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel in Mint Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204.

Carol, my husband, Riley Burgess, worked with Ray for many years, so I have many fond memories of Ray's laugh, his wit, his friendship, and his high character.

My dad worked with Ray for 19 years at ADT, and I worked with him over two summers as help while I was in high school. He was always a kind person, who always shared good things with and about everyone near him. We are very sorry for your loss.

Our hearts hurt for loss of this wonderful man who loved and cared for our sister Anne Marie. Prayers go to his children and grandchildren who will feel the void of his passing for a long time to come and to those who worked with him at ADT, the job he loved and was so good at. God Bless you all.

So very saddened to learn of Ray's death. He was a truly great, caring, and professional manager at ADT in Charlotte. I will always be indebted to Ray for taking a chance and hiring a young, inexperienced man as the first residential sales rep in NC ... Me. I had the opportunity to tell Ray what he did for me several months ago. He was very ill then and I hope he was able to understand what I told him and how much I really appreciated giving me the opportunity to work for ADT for 20 plus years.
I pray he is now in the Lords presence and marveling at the indescribable beauty of his new home. God bless you Ray.
