Ruth Chapin Obituary

Ruth Elise Chapin, nee Speheger, of LaGrange Park, at peace on September 18, 2012, beloved wife of 50 years of Donald; loving mother of twin daughters Karen Chapin and Kim (Angelo) DiGangi; devoted sister of the late John (Jean) Speheger; caring aunt to many nieces and nephews and fond cousin to many. Ruth was a beloved music teacher at Congress Park School in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Citizen Musician Initiative or the music in schools charity of your choice. Family and friends are asked to gather at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012 for a memorial mass and celebration of life in her honor at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 203 S. Kensington Ave., La Grange, IL 60525. Interment is private. Arrangements handled by the Cremation Society of Illinois, 800/622-8358 or www.cremation-society.com.
