MARILYN STERLING Obituary

Marilyn Jane Sterling (nee Ryznar) March 30, 1946 - January 21, 2013 Survived by the 4 loves of her life, sons Christian (Kathi), Carson (Charlotte), Cooper (Janis), and Carter (Meghan). Fun loving and spirited Nana to 10 Grandsons and 3 Granddaughters. Once wife to John. Sister and friend to Carolyn Ryznar. Marilyn will forever be known for her ability to light up a room - her infectious smile, her giving heart, her love for life. She lived her life to the fullest, exactly as she wanted. With Marilyn, what you see is what you get. She made the hard work of Mom look effortless while protecting her four boys in a lifetime of adventures all the while raising them to be wonderful men, husbands, & fathers. She later moved to Kenosha, WI where she rediscovered her passionate love and inspiring talent for art. A young soul that refused to grow up yet was taken too soon. She will be greatly missed, deeply appreciated, abundantly loved, and joyfully celebrated. Marilyn's impact on us all will be remembered for generations. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday January 27, 2013 at the Silver Lake Country Club 14700 S. 82nd Ave. Orland Park at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lemon Street Gallery 4601 Sheridan Rd Kenosha, WI 53140 Proko Funeral Home & Crematory 5111-60th Street Phone: (262) 654-3533 Visit Marilyn's Online Memorial Book at: www.prokofuneralhome.com

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Dearest Sterling Family~
We will always remember Marilyn's kindhearted hospitality--welcoming our three sons to your "fun" house in those early years. I admired her deep faith, generosity, easy-going nature, and happy spirit. Oh how she showered her love and affection on her boys.
We will miss her and extend our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers to your entire family. God grant you peace and comfort knowing her eyes have seen God.
