It was always a pleasure to see Brian and Margie looking so happy whenever our paths crossed in OP--whether at an OPRF football game or theatrical or at the Lake Theater. Margie did her best to beat our shared cancer opponent and I am sure treasured every moment she had with all of you. I know there are no words to ease the pain of today, but I do hope that the many thoughts and prayers of friends and those whose lives you have touched will bring some comfort.

Hey Brian, I'm really sorry to hear. I know that you're kids and family are blessed to have you, especially now. I often think back to growing up with y'all and yearning for what seemed to be simpler times. There are always those moments that make all of the bad stuff go away, it's amazing how those moments carry us through. I wish you and your family countless more wonderful moments to carry y'all through the tough times. We'll add y'all to our prayers. Sorry I couldn't make it to see you. God bless y'all. Love, d

To the Shinner family,
My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to all of you. Through being Puffy's dog sitter and the 'other' child of Ryan and Katherine's ;), I feel so lucky to have had the chance to know Margery and your family. It's so true what I read in all of these other messages.. Margery had the most infectious positive energy and brought out the best in everyone around her. She will be greatly missed. Every time I would see her, she would all make me laugh and bring a smile. What an incredible person in all ways. Sending you all my love, thoughts and prayers.

As so many others have expressed, I'm in shock to learn of Margery's passing. Margery will forever be someone that I truly respected and admired. Over the years, I have been inspired by her zest for life, and impressed by her ability to "do it all" with such intelligence and grace. Some of my fondest memories are from when we shared an office at RWS in Wheaton. I wanted to be Margery when I grew up! My deepest sympathy for her husband and children - for her colleagues, family, and friends - and for those who unfortunately had not yet met Margery. RIP Margery, you are profoundly missed!

To the Shinners Family,
I am so sad to hear of the passing of Margery. She and I go back a long way and I considered her a friend. Margery was so helpful to me when we were all struggling with our new computer programs. I certainly was not a stellar student but, God love her, she didn't give up on me.
She was a very special person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
