Becker-Bartgen, nee Holdener, age 94, dearly beloved wife of the late John Becker and the late Fred Bartgen; loving mother of Margaret (John) Swertel, Janice Becker, John (Karen) Becker, Corinne (Wally) Byk and the late Marion (James) Mueller; cherished grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of 16; fond sister of the late Celia (the late Edwin) Geberbauer; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Priscilla Church, 6949 W. Addison St., Chicago. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Bartgen will lie-in-state from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Priscilla Church. Arrangements entrusted to Belmont Funeral Home. Info 773-286-2500 or

Granny, Thank you for the great memories and wonderful dinners we shared watching "Mash" together. I thank you for showing me "hard work" and prayer go hand in hand. I'll miss your warm smile and spirited outlook in life.
