I just learned of Marie's death. I live out of state but visited with Marie in June of 2013. Marie was a dear friend of my mother, Jane C. Barun (Heaphy) since her days at Rosary College. Marie was my Godmother and I am so sorry to learn of her death. She enjoyed a full life, had many friends and great memories. I will miss her. Cathy Ziebarth

I worked for Marie, at DePaul, many years ago. It was one of my first jobs and from Marie I learned confidence and how to present myself as a woman in the business world. Marie was a wonderful boss, always supportive and a very good teacher. I was able to keep track of her through my friendship with Kristen Bretz Shea and was able to visit with her a few times in the recent years as our paths crossed. I think of her often, as a mentor and a stern, but warm woman, and I took what I learned from her into my present life. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched
