He was a great teacher. Made accounting interesting and fun. I go way back to 1973, downtown campus. I remember he would get excited and start to stutter a bit. He would close his eyes and say "slow down Jerry, slow down". Then he would be fine and go on teaching. A great guy and a great man I remember fondly even 50 years later. Don't really remember any other college profs. Thanks Jerry for teaching me things I still use today. God Bless You and your family.

Gerry was my godfather, and good friend to my dad, Chuck Garlinghouse. He was a special man, and very important in my life. I will miss him and his fantastic memory!

Gerry you were one of a kind and we shared many moments together over dinner and taxes talking about life, WWII, family and friends and you were always supporting, helping and taking care of as many of us as you could. You will be missed by me and many others.
