Edward J. Dreger Sr., U.S. Navy WWII, late of South Holland, formerly of Roseland. Beloved husband for 50 years of Mary Jane, nee Martin, Dreger; devoted father of Edward J. Jr. (Alice) , Robert M. (Kathy) and William J. (Linda) Dreger; cherished grandfather of eight; fond brother of Henry, Francis Dreger, Florence Scheldberg, Sr. Irma Dreger, S.C.S., George, Peter Dreger, Mary Kuester, Robert, Paul, Fred Dreger, Margaret Elsner and the late Joseph Dreger; dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, September 21, 2005, from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday, 9:45 a.m., from The Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6), Dolton/South Holland, to St. Jude the Apostle Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Private interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. 708-841-2300.
