When she loved you, you knew you were loved forever. Time might pass, but as soon as you heard her voice you knew things were just as they had been. Her loyalty to, and faith in, her family and friends was as strong and determined as her bull mastif dogs. Her beauty and style might lead strangers to judge her unapproachable, but a minute with her revealed a heart open to life. Still, somehow there was a fragile quality about her, a sense that behind the strength she always projected, there was a delicate and precious soul who needed protection. I loved her laugh, her heart and her indomitable spirit. I can't believe that she is gone. Rest in peace my dear friend, Melissa. And to the friends and family who wait for her on the shore we cannot see, HERE SHE COMES!
