Elizabeth Dinsmore Obituary

Dinsmore, Elizabeth A. Elizabeth A. "Liz" Dinsmore, local resident of Owasso, Oklahoma, died Monday, December 8, 2008, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 56 years. She was born July 1, 1952, in Evanston, Illinois, to Jack Roberts and Elizabeth Thompson (Izant) Dinsmore. She was reared and educated in Glenview, Illinois, and graduated with the Glenbrook South High School Class of 1970. She continued her education attending the University of Illinois and later Northern Illinois University where she earned her degree in geography in 1984. She continued her education at the University of Wyoming. She had spent over twelve years as a customer service representative with Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group in Tulsa. Liz, loved quilting, nature and the open sky. From when Liz, was a young girl she had special relationships with children especially her niece and nephew nearby. Her doted kitties miss her. Her family and friends will miss her wit and unequivocal sense of the world. Loving family members include: Her parents Jack and Elizabeth Dinsmore, of Glenview, Illinois; brother and sister-in-law Jeff Dinsmore and Patricia Hauser, of Shorewood, Minnesota; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca Dinsmore and Robert Brenner, of Mannitowish Waters, Wisconsin, Janice and Richard Hawk, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Carolyn Dinsmore, of Greenwood, Minnesota; niece, Christine Hawk; and nephews, Stephen Hawk and Jack Kost. Visitation was held Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 11, 2008 at First Lutheran Church, 13th & Utica in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Private family interment were held at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus, P.O. Box 14024, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74159-1024. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso, Oklahoma (918) 272-6244. www.moweryfs.com.

I too worked with Liz. I am floored that she passed on so young. She always saw 2 ways to a problem that none of us saw. She was always just Liz to every one. I am sorry for your loss but know she is in a better place now.
