Just discovered mention of Cousin George's Passing. I have memories of time spent chatting about Film and helping me write family memories for my Genealogy research on the family.
My sincere condolences.

I came to know and treasure George as a friend through my desr friend and neighbor Stan Alpert, George's trusty navigator and lifelong friend.
After Stan's passing I would call George and talk on a regular basis about Stan and his experiences as a Bombardier during the war.
He was a bright, funny and eloquent gentleman to the end of his days and I shall miss him greatly. Men of his ilk are few and far between and so they will all be gone. George I thsnk you for all you taught me over the years, and I will strive to make you proud with what remains of my life.
I shall miss you so.

I was very sorry to hear of George's passing. I lived next door on Iris Lane, and George and Lois and Daryl were always so nice to me and my sister and brother. I remember George always brought boxes of fruit to us for holidays. And of course I remember the beloved Mr. Chips and the Yorkies that followed. George was a lovely man and I am sure he will be missed--but I hope memories will be comforting. Sincerely, Jill Zimmerman Rutledge

I grew up next door to the Schatz family on Iris Lane. My memories of George are indeed, about his devotion to Lois, his family, Ronald Coleman, and his Scotch collection. I have fond memories of watching the Prisoner of Zenda and Lost Horizon in his basement viewing room, on 16 mm film, complete with fresh popcorn. Decades before media rooms became popular!
My condolences to the Schatz family. George's was truly a life well lived.

We lived down the street from the Schatz family. My Mother and Lois were dear friends. My late brother Michael Glazier went ""steady" with beautiful Daryl. May they all rest in peace.
